providing a much more sleek design aesthetic for their prorsum collection, burberry gives us a pre-fall preview. providing much more clean & simplified lines than what we seen for their resort pieces. though a small preview is seen here we at least know what we can expect for the coming fall ready-to-wear season. burberry has really started to become one of my favorite menswear labels. i love that the brand no longer feels the need to shove beige plaid down our throats. its more of a refined elegance. i definitely seek simple designs that dont rely on logos or prints in my own everyday wardrobe pieces. with that said i love certain prints, but given the option i always go for simple & minimalistic.

sonia rykiel was voted one of the 10 most elegant women in 1980. above are images from her resort 2010 collection; dont hate on the fact that she was voted elegant in 1980 though. with all this 80’s revival fashion elements approaching the limelight, her style may not be completely irrelevant. evidence of her modern day style relevance is seen in her usage of textiles & the color palette seen in her collection. though some of her pieces are similar to that of other existing collections, style elements that seperate her from the rest can be seen in her use of graphics. whether its the print seen on those silk pants or the black on purple stripes on a skirt, it proves that she is still as relevant now then in the past. great collection. the colors bring a youthful feel.
i love, love, love this collection. the styling of the collection is completely casual & still totally chic. every element; the layering & the bags- completely obsessed i am. phillip lim always has the tendency to create the most simplistic style elements & highlight them in new, young & modern ways. again, i love this collection.
